What a Friend We Have in Spider-Man!

Here's a much more pleasant interpretation of the Holy Bible than Jack Chick's: Spider-Man's Greatest Bible Stories. It's from the Portland Mercury three years ago, but for some reason it seems to be doing the rounds in the comics blogosphere now.

Same thing with Superman is a Dick (which I think existed as a separate website for awhile, before being incorporated into National Lampoon's site). It's a great collection of covers (plucked, I'm pretty sure, from the Grand Comic Book Database), even if the comments are painfully unfunny.

And while we're on the subject, the Barbelith board links to a couple of hilarious X-Men spoofs in Flash: Death Becomes Them and Dark Phoenix Rising. (Heavy spoilers for Grant Morrison's run on New X-Men in the first one.)

Koala! Beware! Without my supervision you are going deeper and deeper in the smelly fungus like swamp of comics blogging. I liked the apple though.

I realised that cursing was wrong on a site dedicated to the whole family, so I deleted some...
