Hey, to put things even more in perspective... Here is what Time says about electing person of the year:

The winner must be "the person or persons who most affected the news and our lives, for good or for ill, and embodied what was important about the year, for better or for worse," he said.

Get it? For good or for ill !! Dubya makes good cookies and Hitler made terrible ones.

Times also has a poll where 59,4% doesn´t agree on Dubya to be the man of the year. Likely those good folks would rather have chosen Chirac or Hans Blix.

In 1982, the computer became the first object ever to receive the distinction. That was indeed a splendid choice since it indirectly brought Superblog!! to the longing masses of our world.
