R = repeat

Unlike in January, when almost every single thing I watched was worth watching, there were a few duds this time. I count at least six films that sucked ass. Most of the rest I'd rank somewhere between pretty good and very good. If I had to pick one single favorite among this bunch it might be the prematurely cancelled TV series Carnivàle, which was flawed but compelling. But I might also pick Veronica Mars so YMMV.

What did you watch?

How was Colour Me Kubrick: A True...ish Story?

Good question, Señor! It was kind of amusing, at least if you like John Malkovich, but quickly grew repetitive. Slight. Okay...ish.

But you forgot to answer my question which is very bad form.

Well, the other day I saw THERE WILL BE BLOOD in cinema (I watched the first 50 minutes of it like 2 weeks ago, but realized the movie was worth more than a crappy avi-file), and it's at least in my TOP 15-list of greatest movies ever. Since Kubrick is mentioned, I can say PT Anderson is now definitely in that man's leauge. I can't stop thinking about it.

That is somehow interesting.

You've hyped it too much. Even if it's excellent, everyone will be disappointed. And then they will come at you with long, sharp knives.

Was Veronica Mars season 3 good? I have 1 and 2 but I'm waiting for 3 to be on sale. Mistake?

Season 3 is probably the least satisfying one as a whole, because it consists of two story arcs, followed by a bunch of standalone episodes. But there's a lot of Logan and zero Duncan Kane, which is a plus in my book.

Wow, I'm a total fan girl.

I just watched No Country for Old Men. Brilliant film. The ending left me confused, but in a good way. I think.

NCFOM: I didn't think the ending was confusing, but I totally adored it, and had to rewatch it immediately after my first viewing.

Last Friday, there were some "???"-sounds (in Swedish they sound like: "jaha?") when I saw it for the second time in cinema. But I guess it's good that it makes some people think.
