That's It, I'm Placing the Anti-Pirates On Notice

Hey, have you noticed how SUPERBLOG!! seems to have turned from a blog about drinking and dancing and occasionally burning bad World Cup memories into just another political bullshit blog? And it's even about Swedish politics, which is totally uninteresting for most of our visitors.

Today I make things worse by inaugurating a new feature: the Anti-Piracy "On Notice" Board. This will be a listing of Sweden's most dangerous and/or evil and/or willfully stupid anti-pirates right this minute. There are a lot of those in Sweden these days, so I'll probably update the board once a week or so. (Or possibly never, because I tire easily.)

As I have some sympathy for the 90 percent of you who have never heard of these people, I'll explain my choices (most links in Swedish, use Google Translate or something):

1. Henrik Pontén: Representative of the Swedish Anti-Piracy Bureau, a lobby group suspected of committing crimes to secure evidence against supposed pirates.

2. Peter Danowsky: Aggressive lawyer who represented IFPI in the Pirate Bay trial, during which he generally acted like an asshole. Low point: Badgering a witness. Most recently he threatened to somehow have Swedish law changed if ISPs don't do what he says.

3. Tomas Norström: Judge in The Pirate Bay trial, who turned out to be heavily biased.

4. Dick Harrison: Historian and author who "applauded" the judgment (one year in prison and one hundred times the record amount ever awarded a victim of rape) - although he thought it was tad mild. Dick.

5. Åsa Torstensson: Minister for Infrastructure who resisted a citizen's rights amendment in the EU Telecoms Package.

6. Monique Wadsted: Lawyer who represented Hollywood in the TPB trial and appears to have received the judgment in advance. Possibly from her pal, the judge.

7. Björn Ulvaeus: ABBA member, tax evader, and idiot. Three strikes.

8. Karin Pilsäter: Member of the Swedish Parliament and big fan of Ipred. Not a big fan of rule of law, nor of answering important questions.

The image at the top of this post was created with the (copyright-infringing?) Stephen Colbert "On Notice" Board Generator. All rights reserved throughout the universe for all eternity. If you steal it I will Ipred your ass.

Having read this I thought it was very enlightening. I appreciate you taking the time and energy to put this informative article together.
I once again find myself spending a significant amount of time both reading and
leaving comments. But so what, it was still worth it!
