Said nerds are pictured above, in white. Did you know SUPERBLOG!! first wrote about this fucking movie over 4 years ago?:
[A film adaptation of] Watchmen is on its way [but the original graphic novel] is unfilmable, as the most interesting thing about it is Moore's use of formal techniques unique to the comics medium, stuff that is literally impossible to transfer to the big screen. That one of the main characters is naked throughout might also be problematic...
What a sad and naive fanboy Koala Mentala once was! Totally different from the sad and cynical grey-haired gentleman you now see before you. Or would see, if you and I were communicating face-to-face instead of through the Internet. Anyway, as you may have heard, the film is finally here, and the time has come to be massively disappointed. Or pleasantly surprised! (Fat chance.) Look for a review at some point in the very near future.

It was a nerdy night, y'all!
Oh, I almost forgot: Blaskis ftw.
It was awesome, right? Right? Five Michael Keatons out of five? You know this to be true!
It was kind of awesome and kind of not. I guess maybe... three Keatons?
It's a really hard movie to judge, with the comic in mind (and not just in one sense!), but it's more than watchable and thourougly entertaining. On a good day, I'd probably give it four.
The character is still naked, but it's CGI wang, so I guess that's not as offensive to the MPAA.
It's R-rated. That means Dicks ahoy!
True, but too many dicks can risk an NC-17 rating.
