Shush! It's UDO TUESDAY!

You remember Udo Tuesday, don't you? Udo Tuesday is that day of the week (usually a Tuesday) when we get depressed and think about death a lot and celebrate some guy named Udo. This time the Udo is (OF COURSE) Udo Steinbach. This Udo is what in German is actually called a Dr. phil.! For real!

Some almost unknown Udo facts (courtesy of an Udo fan site):

• Professor Steinbach AKA Udo was the head of the Near East department of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP, 1971–74)
  
• Udo was also director of the German Orient Institute / German Institute for Middle East Studies (1976–2006). 
  
• Udo is now a honorary professor at the University of Hamburg and visiting professor at the Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies (CNMS), University of Marburg (Germany).

Udo Tuesday #2

Hey there, you. You thought I was gonna forget about Udo Tuesday, didn't you? Ha ha, IDIOT! Of course I DIDN'T. No way who say, I say. Me never forget an Udo. No. Not even in the face of Armageddon.

For those of you joining SUPERBLOG!! for the very first time or the first time in a while or who suffer from amnesia, Udo Tuesday is the time of the week when we drink people's beer and ROCK OUT and celebrate an Udo. This time the honor goes to Udo Dirkschneider, a German heavy metalist who used to sing in the heavy metal band Accept and later formed the heavy metal band U.D.O., which might possibly stand for Udo Something Something.

Little known Udo facts:

• According to Wikipedia, he made a guest appearance on (Eurovision Song Contest winners) Lordi's 2006 album, The Arockalypse. 
  
• I have never heard of him before.
