Is the Boar Future-Sawyer in Disguise?

I was talking with my good friend (sometimes enemy) Pepe Moko about the television series Lost, the one with the people on the island, remember? Anyay, Pepe recently re-watched season 1 and he thinks the BOAR that was Sawyer's nemesis way back then will play a huge role in upcoming eps, and so do I. SPECU-SPOILER!: I think it will turn out that all this time the boar was Future-Sawyer in disguise, time-jumped. So James Ford was chasing himself!! Himself!!!!

p.s. They're dead and in Hell and it's all someone's dream.

Hello dear Internet. Here is a list of the stuff, mostly movies, I watched in January. I thought about reviewing them all for your edification, and then I thought about reviewing some of them, and in the end I opted for not reviewing any of them. This means that I can go have a beer instead of rotting away in front of a computer screen. I've highlighted the movies I feel like recommending just now. Many of the others were pretty good, too, but an official SUPERBLOG!! recommendation is equivalent to, like, a four on the Universal Michael Keaton scale, or thereabouts. This many:

To make up for not reviewing anything this time, I may write a longish post on the Oscar nominees in the near future. I may also just go have another beer, and call it even. Thinking about it, this latter scenario seems far more likely.

Same Day!

Congrats to the oppressed SAMES, wrinkly minority population of the northest parts of Sweden. The Sames - also called Sami or Lap peeps - celebrate their National Day today. It could be their Independence Day if not for the fact that they are not independent but rather a tiny part of the vast and glorious Swedish Empire. HOWEVER, we can assume that, even though they act all smily and happy and resigned to their fate, in secret the Sames are sharpening their knives and preparing for revolution. It's what all the nations that Sweden tries to crush under its boot eventually do. Look at the Finns and the drug-addled Norwegians.

Here's the Sami flag. It looks like something I made up in Photoshop but it's the real deal:

But what does it mean? Dear God, what does it mean?!?

What Don't You Fucking Understand?

I'm gonna fucking kick your fucking ass. If you don't listen to Bale Out - RevoLucian's Christian Bale Remix:

(Link via the A. V. Club:

"You think this is some kind of a fucking joke?" Bale continued, punching a nearby plastic terminator robot so hard that the velcro attaching the plastic "ammo" to the hip of his futuristic GI Joe outfit fell to the ground with a sad click. "Like we're all just dressing up for Halloween? What don't you fucking understand? That's McG over there. Mc fucking G! I have to pretend that there's been a nuclear holocaust, and the world has been taken over by bad robots, and that this whole stupid thing is real! Fuck!"

). Think for one fucking second! Download the mp3. Hurry because this will only be funny for about ten minutes more!

(Note: McG is not, and has seldom been, the same as P McG.)

Obama and the Pig and the Piggy back

Someone told me I was a lazy blogger and a loser so I must blog very much from now. Every day I will post new Obama pictures except for the days when I'm not posting them. Every day!

Batman Forever!

If SUPERBLOG!! hadn't been a super-fan of Christian Bale before, it would be one now:

Have you heard the scorching on-the-set rant by Christian Bale, who was clearly furious at Shane Hurlbut, the director of photography for "Terminator Salvation"?
[...]
You can hear it right here but, please, don't go there if you are offended by coarse language or if you are a big fan of Bale and don't want your affections shaken.

I Want Another Dark Chocolate Horror Film Game and I Want It Now

Back in 2006, I played M&M's Dark Chocolate computer rebus game 50 Dark Movies Hidden in a Painting. I played it to perfection and I loved the experience like I love life. In the three years since then, I have only played real-life games like Electro Shuffle Board Hockey and Heroin Hero. But now I feel ready to start playing another computer game and I want one just like the one with the chocolate. So are there any similar games out there or will I have to make one up in my mind? Huh? Huh?

Haddy Jallow

Cover story in Swedish tabloid Expressen (the Ex-Priest):

Den svenska skådespelerskan greps på ett hotell i centrala Göteborg 00.40 natten till i går. Hon hade då omhändertagits av vakter och uppgavs ha uppträtt bråkigt och varit berusad - och gick till fysiskt angrepp när hon var på väg att gripas av en anländande polispatrull.

Google translated:

The Swedish actress was arrested in a hotel in central Gothenburg 00.40 night yesterday. She was then seized by the guards and allegedly behaved disorderly and was intoxicated - and went to physical attack when she was about to be arrested by an arriving police.

It's Haddy Jallow, slightly familiar for some from Säg att du älskar mig.

Currently Reading #32: Fresh Takes, Uncle Joachim

Joachim:

Saint Joachim ("he whom YHWH has set up", Hebrew: יהוֹיָקִים, Greek Ἰωακείμ) was the husband of Saint Anne and the father of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and therefore is ascribed the title of "forebearer of God", in the Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and Anglican traditions.
[...]
Joachim was described as a rich and pious man of the house of Amram who regularly gave to the poor and to the temple (synagogue) at Sepphoris.

He gave them a balloon to share.
